Deadline for SU 2017 applications looms

Campus life is more than classes.

Prospective Maties will have to hurry up if they want to be on time with their applications to study at Stellenbosch University (SU) in 2017, as the closing date for academic applications and for accommodation at a university residence is tomorrow, Thursday June 30. Applications for the selection of medicine have already closed.

Prospective students can apply at www.maties.com

Information about documents that must accompany the application, career choices, bursaries and loans, tuition fees, residence placements, sport opportunities, accommodation, student associations and Maties’ student life is available here and on the University’s website at www.sun.ac.za

SU uses the Grade 11 results of current Grade 12 pupils for applications, while matric results are used for those who have already passed matric.

Prospective students can now also apply for the large number of bursaries and student loans which are available at Stellenbosch University.

The final closing date for this is August 31.

Applicants without computer access must call Stellenbosch University’s Client Service Centre at 021 808 9111 for more information.

All prospective students must also take the National Benchmark Test (NBT), regardless of the year in which they matriculated or the examination system that was followed. More details are available at www.nbt.ac.za

With the new language policy of SU taking effect in 2017, Afrikaans and English will remain the teaching languages in lectures in a combination of these languages. Call 021 808 9111, email info@ sun.ac.za or visit www.maties.com for more information.
