Celebrating 353 years of apples

 Celebrating the birthday of the South African apple industry earlier this year, in its 353rd year, are Tru-Cape Fruit marketing’s Buks Nel and Oak Valley Estate’s young tree specialist, Hansie Boshoff of Grabouw. The celebration was held in Tru-Cape’s Heritage Orchard of apple and pear varieties no longer in production.
