In honour of International Cat Day, which is celebrated annually on August 8, Cat Heaven Rescue Cat Café and Gift Shop invites cat lovers to join their cat-spirational celebratory event, on “Cat-urday” August 11, from 1pm to 4pm, at 35 Bright Street, Somerset West. Entry is R20, towards the upkeep of the rescued resident cats at the premises. Cat lovers are invited to meet and interact with the 14 resident rescue cats, and chat to Dr Angelique Smit, facility vet at Cat Heaven, who will be answering all feline concerns and questions. Lots of paw-some prizes will be on offer, and a raffle and lucky draws.
Coffee, tea, soft drinks, and snacks will be on sale, and there will be face painting for children. No children under the age of six are allowed inside the Rescue Café. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed until the following Cat-urday. Booking is essential, at gifts@catheaven. co.za, 083 325 2527 or 079 958 5378.
