Giles Scott, Somerset West
The excellent letter from Guy and Karlo Pluck about the tree felling, and Owen Wittridge’s response, addressed serious concerns that I have heard raised by other users of the Helderberg Nature Reserve.
It is very clear that there are knowledgeable people with strong views on both sides of this important issue, which I believe can only be effectively resolved at a public meeting.
I would urge the management of this wonderful reserve of ours to call such a meeting as soon as possible and, most importantly, to hold off from any further tree felling until such a meeting has been held.
