Baroque elegance

The Helderberg Village Music Society is holding a concert at Talani Lounge, on Sunday May 8, at 4pm, featuring the Trio Claire de Lune, which unites the talents of pianist Sue Paterson-Jones, flautist Nerina von Mayer and double-bassist Donat Pellei, right, who hails from Hungary. Their programme consists mostly of French music: Pierre Sancan’s Sonatine and Francis Poulenc’s magical Sonata for flute and and piano, and the music of Claude Bolling, a mix of Baroque elegance with modern swing; Bach’s Sonata in G minor and Bagatelle by Roland Batik.
