Author Jill Welsh has written a nursery school age book incorporating the original and coveted artwork of world renowned South African artist, Portchie.
Joytown is a youthful interpretation of Portchie’s art into a story for all seasons culminating in a message shared by all at Christmas.

Jill has worked on a variety of creative projects over the past 15 years, from scriptwriting and research to insert producing for five magazine television shows and two children’s cooking programs.
She has produced educational content in collaboration with Woolworths and their FET Design initiative for the Western Cape Education Department’s 2006 curriculum.
She is also a published magazine feature writer and children’s book author (9lives Publishing, 2006) under her maiden name, Jill Manson.
