Artist realises his dream to gift Cape Town mayor with portrait

Somerset West-based portrait artist Fabriazo Langford, realised his dream of sketching City of Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis and on Thursday January 11, handed over the portrait to the mayor in-person. He was inspired to do the portrait after seeing how actively busy the mayor is in the City. “So I thought I’d do a portrait as a tip of the hat so to speak. Honestly I didn’t think I’d actually get to meet him but he turned out to be such a genuine and humble person that before I knew it his team got back to me and we were set to meet,” an elated Mr Langford says.
