Brak en Jan Creche and Pre-School celebrated its 13th year in Raithby by inviting sponsors, partners and friends to a breakfast at the Copper Kettle in Raithby, on Friday November 26, which also coincided with the launch of their new website.

Gavin Staude, the chairman of the board, thanked everyone for the contributions they have made in making Brak en Jan such a success.

Bernd Holtkamp, the instigator and inspiration of the development, was also present. The Learning Initiative spoke to everyone about the “Step Up” and “Blocks4Growth” programmes that they run at Brak en Jan.

Everyone then visited the school where they were entertained by the children, followed by a tour of the school and vegetable garden.

The Forward Foundation have worked with the children twice a week this year, and those assembled were able to see the physical development of the children as they performed their exercise routines in front of everyone, in a joyful event.
