Anna Christina Kriel, from Rhenish Girls’ High in Stellenbosch, was the number two maths pupil in South Africa. Anna, pictured here with proud mom Charla, is in a state of anticipation, and will be starting in the next couple of weeks with her industrial engineering degree at the University of Stellenbosch. “I will also be living in Huistenbosch residence. I have never been in hostel before, so I think the experience will be very exciting,” she told Blander. “I decided to study industrial engineering as it will be a good base to either study further from, or start working with. I do not know what I want to do with my degree yet, but it will hopefully open many doors for me in the future.”
