* The Tank Art Gallery at Stellenbosch Hills Wines is proud to present the solo photographic exhibition by Riehan Bakkes – Phi is the first ever fine art solo exhibition by this renowned Stellenbosch photographer. He started his photography career 15 years ago as an extreme sports photographer, dabbled in fashion and lifestyle, but finally settled in commercial photography in 2008, and now looks after many wine estates and restaurants in Stellenbosch and surrounds. Phi work explores the relation between the geometric principles in design in nature and its relation to composition in art and photography In parallel the work also explores and questions the function and practice of sacred geometry in composition in art The exhibition opens on Thursday June 9, at 6pm.
