We decided to enjoy a nice cup of cappuccino at The Coffee Roastery in Lourensford Estate on Sunday afternoon.
When we entered the estate, all of a sudden there were gates and ticket automations.
The security person informed us that the first 40 minutes are free.
We were frustrated and just couldn’t believe it.
We drank our coffee and then had to queue for paying.
Usually we had a nice walk through that lovely estate, and look at all those beautiful plants and water features.
But this time we just didn’t enjoy it.
Was this really necessary to install gates and ticket automations?
Bolander has approached Lourensford Estate for comment, and we will publish it in next week’s edition – Ed
