A blue crane visits

■ Hospice fundraising and events co-ordinator, Cheryl Rundle, sent Bolander this picture of a blue crane in Hospice’s Remembrance Garden. “This is the first time we have seen this beautiful bird in the garden, but hopefully not the last time,” says Cheryl. “It’s amazing to think that this garden was only a year old in July and that we are presently suffering our worst drought in years. It’s proof that our decision to use only indigenous and waterwise plants was a good one.”
