Western Cape Artist’s Society (WCAS) invites you to a “Street Art” presentation, by Alistair Tite, tomorrow, Thursday July 11, at the Rotary Club Hall, Lourensford Road, Somerset West, at 6pm for 6.30pm.
Alistair is a registered tourist guide who enjoys art, so he became a “Street Art” guide in Salt River and the Cape Town CBD.
Through these tours he also discovered various art galleries and museums, which he will talk about, as well as some of the street art and the artists that can be seen.
Street Art in the CBD started in February 2022 as an off-shoot of the International Public Arts Festival (IPAF), that had been running successful festivals under the auspices of an NGO called Baz Art in Salt River since 2018.
In 2022 Baz Art decided to run IPAF in the District Six Precincts supported by local companies and the City of Cape Town.
Take your friends and family to experience this amazing acrylic demonstration. WCAS members pay R20, and entry is R30 for non-members (including tea, coffee and snacks).
