The annual Vintage Ideas Market promises to capture memories of forgotten times with vintage items that tell a story of origin and heritage.
This unique market will take place from Friday April 29 to Monday May 2, at the Simondium’s Country Lodge between Paarl and Franschhoek.
According to convener Wilna Rabe, vintage remains one of the hottest trends around and buying these items can be a way of capturing and preserving something of the past.
“Consumers are looking for items that can tell a story or reflect a bygone era. The vintage trend allows us to bring a piece of history into our homes and keep memories alive for the next generation.”
This year’s market has been inspired by style icons such as Frida Kahlo, Audrey Hepburn, and Evita Peron.
Ms Rabe points out that the preservation of decades-old treasures ranging from fashion to household items is becoming increasingly popular.
