Tribute to Jonker and Brink

 The Korreltjie Kantel mini-tour will be at Joostenberg Wines,Stellenbosch on Saturday August 26. Three unexpected and distinctly different musicians – Luna Paige, Jamie Jupiter and Nick Turner- have come together to interpret and compose music to Ingrid Jonker poems. These poems are interwoven with dramatic and musical interpretations of the love letters that passed between Andre P Brink and Ingrid Jonker as published in Flame in the Snow, and share a poignant and intimate portrayal of longing, forbidden fruit, destruction and the fearless delight of love. The doors open at 6.30pm, and the show starts at 8pm. Tickets are R130. and R80 for children under 13, and are available at Quicket. There will be a cash bar available.
