The Saturday Muratie harvest festival takes place on Saturday February 29, at 11.30am. The festival, which takes place under the ancient oaks that guard the estate, is a celebratory family event featuring good food, fine wine, great company, live music and lots of fun stomping newly harvested grapes. On arrival, after a welcoming drink, visitors can join in the fun of “stomping” grapes and tasting Muratie’s wines. Tractor rides through the vineyards will take place at set times for the young and young at heart. An alfresco lunch prepared by Muratie’s Farm Kitchen will follow accompanied by Muratie wines.There will be live music performed by the Kitchen Jammin Blues Band. Tickets cost R150 which includes a welcome drink, wine tasting, tractor rides, grape stomping and fun prizes throughout the day.
