Opening at the Playhouse Theatre, Somerset West is Love Sex Fleas God, a single-hander directed by Celia Musikanth and starring Cape Town actor, David Muller. It is a true story of a brand-new male role that has emerged in modern society: the stay-at-home father, and is a stage adaptation based on the book of the same title by Bruce Clark. Abandoned by his mother, living a dysfunctional childhood in spite of the love and care of his grandmother, never belonging in the multitude of schools he attends, Bruce is hardly prepared for being a husband, let alone a father. Love Sex Fleas God opens on Thursday April 20, and runs until Saturday April 22, with two shows on the Saturday. Tickets cost from R70, and are available through Computicket.
