Vergenoegd Löw’s Jazz Under the Stars event is back, on Friday November 15, and again features Moonshine, the jazz ensemble led by talented saxophonist Dan Shout.
With a credo of “jazz with a kick,” expect a magical musical journey that spans the Roaring 1920s and the Swingin’ 1930s and 1940s, right through to the classic Rock and Roll and Motown sounds of the 1950s and 1960s.
Think of legendary artists like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Dean Martin, alongside the rocking sounds of Chuck Berry, Big Joe Turner, Elvis, Ray Charles, and Marvin Gaye, among others.
Add to that to the serene setting, delicious Cape heritage-inspired food crafted by chef Drikus Brink and his team from the estate’s two restaurants, Geuwels and Clara’s Barn, as well as a selection of award-winning wines by the farm’s talented young winemaker, Vusi Dalicuba.
The event runs from 6pm to 10pm, visit vergenoegd.co.za (under the Book Now Page) or for more information (please note, there is a new entrance to Vergenoegd Löw via Old Faure Road – some maps may still indicate the old entrance in Baden Powell Drive).
