Violinist David Bester will perform at the Helderberg Village Music Society concert, on Sunday June 2, at Talani Terrace, at 4pm. David has performed as a soloist with the Stellenbosch Camerata, several national philharmonic orchestras, and is a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Namur and the Amici Quartet. He obtained his MMus in music performance from Stellenbosch University, and the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (both cum laude).
In 2018,he founded the Nelson Mandela University String Ensemble (NMUSE), which gives string students the opportunity to work alongside professional musicians. He will be accompanied by the well-known pianist, repetiteur and musical director Jos Dias, who obtained his BMus Honours (cum laude) from Stellenbosch University, and his konzertdiplom (with distinction) at the Hochschule für Muzik und Theater in Zürich.
