Under the shaded splendour of 90 oak trees, different textures create a lush blend of shrubbery and colour at different times of the year.
The Grobler garden is indeed a very special place to be.
An old farm implement makes an unusual but very special water feature, but it is on the verge across the road where magic happens.
The family’s innovative young daughter, Ami, has created her own wonderful and unique display of bulbs and annuals using old tree stumps.
Ami has a passion for plants and is very creative.
The Groblers’ wonderful garden is just one of 16 you can visit during the Open Gardens Festival, on Saturday October 22 and Sunday October 23.
Tickets cost R80, and are on sale at Helderberg Hospice, 21 Old Stellenbosch Road from 10am to 4pm.
The peaceful hospice garden and Garden of Remembrance will also be open to visitors at these times, with teas and treats, plants for sale, and a book table selling gardening books”.
