On Saturday October 8, at 7pm, Sing for your Supper will host an evening of dining and opera at the Drostdy Theatre in Stellenbosch.
The evening will be hosted by opera singer Monika Voysey and her husband, chef Marc Wassung.
The creative couple combine opera and food by presenting evenings that celebrate music, song and cuisine.
For this event, they will put on an elegant Spanish themed dinner with an opera concert.
Monika (mezzo-soprano) will be joined by the outstanding baritone, Riaan Hunter and accompanied by Adrian More on piano. They will be singing excerpts from the operas Carmen and Don Giovanni, as well as other light classical pieces. Marc will be serving up a lavish buffet of typical Spanish cuisine.
The performance at the Drostdy Theatre at 48 Alexander Street, Stellenbosch, starts at 7pm, and tickets cost R320 each.
It includes canapes with a complimentary drink, a buffet, dessert and the concert.
