Concert at Helderberg Village

■ The Helderberg Village Music Society will present a concert featuring some of the most well-known arias, duets and trios of the classical and romantic eras at Talani Terrace, Helderberg Village, Somerset West, on Sunday September 2, at 4pm. Five opera students who study under Professor Virginia Davids, pictured, at the South African College of Music (SACM) at the University of Cape Town will perform: Denira Coleman, soprano; Nombulelo Yende, soprano; Keanan Mitchell, tenor; Darryn Kenned, bass-baritone; and Hayden Henning, bass-baritone. They will be accompanied by SACM vocal coaches Danie Theron and John Davids. Entry costs R80 for non-members and R30 for students.
