The Cannabis Expo in South Africa, a trade and consumer exhibition dedicated to the cannabis industry, is taking place in Sun Exhibits, GrandWest, from Thursday April 4 to Sunday April 7.
The expo will deal with a variety of uses for this versatile plant, which is making waves globally in industries across the business spectrum. As people’s attitudes and the legislation change globally around the plant, cannabis is becoming one of the fastest-growing industries to be in.
The Cannabis Expo includes an exhibitor hall, networking
and entertainment spaces, a convention stage and workshop
that will host local and international experts from across the industry.
“This is the largest exhibition of its kind on the African continent,” said Elouise Matthys, public relations and promotions manager at GrandWest. “Internationally, most major countries host annual cannabis expos that attract tens of thousands of people, from America to Germany and Australia to name a few. We are excited to be the hosts of this cutting-edge expo in Cape Town.”
Sarah Howarth, the expo’s sales director, said: “Due to a number of reasons, such as this country’s liberal laws, geographic climate, population demographic and the wide array of cultures, South Africa is expected to become one of the largest cannabis industry marketplaces in the world.
“The Cannabis Expo is the perfect platform for international and local medical health professionals, agricultural providers and lifestyle brands to engage with industry experts and the public around this versatile plant.”
Tickets to the Cannabis Expo can be bought from Computicket for R150 or at the door for R200. Doors open at 10am every day and close at 4pm, on April 4, at 8pm, on April 5 and 6 and at 4pm, on April 7.
