Cape Town Opera celebrates Puccini at Maynardville

Cape Town Opera’s Puccini in the Park takes place on Sunday February 4, at 6pm, as part of the Maynardville Open Air Theatre Festival.

The once-off performance celebrates the centenary of Puccini’s death.

Audiences will be transported by extracts from La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, Gianni Schicchi and Turandot.

Cape Town Opera House Soloists Nobulumko Mngxekeza, Lukhanyo Moyake and Conroy Scott will be joined by the Cape Town Opera Chorus directed by Marvin Kernelle and the newly formed Cape Town Opera Children’s Chorus directed by Antoinette Huyssen.

Cape Town Opera celebrates its 25th year anniversary in 2024.
