Norwegian organist Bjørn Boysen will perform on Saturday April 2, at 8pm, in the Endler Hall.
Boysen is considered to be one of Norway’s finest concert organists – and he has given concerts in most parts of Norway, as well as concert tours in a number of European countries.
He has also been active as a teacher of the organ, first at the Oslo Conservatory of Music and later at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo.
In this recital for solo organ he will perform a selection of the Organ Chorales for Passion and Easter from JS Bach’s Orgelbüchlein, as well as the Prelude and Fugue in C major BWV 545.
Also on the programme are Cesar Franck’s Fantasy in C major, Op. 16 and the Introduction and Passacaglia in b minor Op. 4 by the Norwegian organist, composer, and choir conductor, Arild Sandvold.
Tickets cost R140 or R100 for students and pensioners, and are available at Compu-ticket and at the door.
